Whitefish Food & Wine // BARLEY & GRAPES : Montana Brewing Meets Oregon Winemaking

Barley & Grapes is where the best in Montana Craft Brewing meets the pinnacle of Oregon's Willamette Valley Winemaking!  Hosted by Brewmaster Jeremiah Johnson and the team from the award-winning Cristom Vineyards, this special tasting event will also feature an Oregon-inspired culinary presentation by Blackstar Executive Chef Katie Haynes. 

During the event you will meet the iconic Jeremiah Johnson and learn all about his craft brewing techniques and sample amazing beers, while also sipping on the top wines from Cristom Vineyards. Sample full glasses and talk with the winery team about Oregon's unique terroir, grapes and legendary winemaking traditions in the Willamette Valley.  

And while you imbibe, nosh on Chef Katie's Oregon-inspired cuisine, with a menu of:

• Smoked Duck chip,  white chocolate parsnip puree,  drunken huckleberries, gremolata  
• Chicken fried lion manes mushroom, apple compote, wine reduction
• Foie Gras lollipop, ginger citrus caramel, finished with toasted hazelnut
• Dungeness crab, heirloom tomato gazpacho, garlic chive, truffle oil

Ticket purchase guarantees one admission per ticketholder, and covers food, beer/wine pairings and gratuity. Additional beverages may be available on a cash-bar basis.

• Event times 6pm - 9pm, standing reception on the 2nd Floor and roof of Blackstar (weather permitting)
• Each attendee shall enjoy a passed canapes menu prepared by Chef, with wine and beer pairings recommended for each
• Chef and winery/brewery reserve the right to subsitute any dish or pairing with an equal or greater value course/pairing in case of emergency; best efforts will be made to communicate any menu changes in advance
• FOOD SUBSTITUTIONS MAY NOT BE OFFERED NOR AVAILABLE. Buyer assumes all risk for being unable to consume an offered meal course and will not be compensated for dietary restrictions liiting their options.
